Medical Director of Angioline Oleg Volkov spoke at the National Congress "Formula for the Future"

Medical Director of Angioline Oleg Volkov was one of the speakers of the first National "Formula of the Future" Congress, which was held in Moscow on March 26 and was dedicated to the development of innovations in the pharmaceutical and medical industries. The event, organized by Vademecum, was attended by representatives of the regulator, companies and the expert community.The representative of “Angioline” spoke at the session “How to bring innovation closer to the Russian market of medical devices”, the speakers of which were also Konstantin Binko, Deputy Director of the Department of Drug Support and Regulatory Control of Medical Products of the Russian Ministry of Health; Dmitry Pavlyukov, deputy head of Roszdravnadzor; Mikhail Goncharov, Director, Medical Imaging, Philips, and other experts.
In his speech, Oleg Volkov touched upon the issues of personnel training for the medical industry, industrial innovation and state support. In particular, according to the expert, the process of introducing innovations in the medical industry must be accompanied by the development of a production base that allows the use of technological innovations in practice. 
In the regulatory aspect, it is desirable to reduce administrative barriers and simplify registration procedures for medical devices. As for training, it is important to improve the system of specialized university education, because now young professionals who are on the verge of employment get experience that is more or less relevant to the needs of the profession, at best, within the framework of grant programs.

“When we say that our country needs innovations, we must add at once that these innovations should be based on developed industrial production. Also, in my opinion, the simplification of administrative procedures, especially in the field of registration of medical devices, would be very useful for the development of the industry: for example, in Moscow only two laboratories are now engaged in the examination of products, which, of course, are overloaded. The state is doing a lot now in the direction of supporting domestic producers, and this is welcome, but new steps are also desirable to strengthen this support and improve its mechanisms,” said Oleg Volkov.
